Pure Flax Linen

The perfect spring lightweight yarn to make my neckties in, I love it.

I source this yarn in large cones from a mill in northern Lithuania. This area is famed for its high quality and ethically produced flax linen. It is produced to the highest standard, Oeko-Tex 100 which is the gold standard for yarn processing.

I keep one of these little scarves on most of the time, I designed them for myself as I can’t bear having a cold neck and as the weather gets warmer my larger cashmere ones are too warm……oh the joys of being a maker!

I hope you like my new colours and combinations.

Closed for Christmas

I’ve put my tools down, popped the dust cover on my machine and my slightly ragged Wreath is up! I’ll start knitting again from the 2nd January.
Happy Christmas and thank you all for your wonderful purchases this year.

Designing and Making

I really love what I do, it’s such a pleasure getting into my knitting room and starting on something new.
I’ve just had a huge delivery of new Cashmere + Linen yarn from the amazing Todd + Duncan so if I could I would knit all day long!

My son snapped some nice images of me today as I was casting off a big textured knit scarf. I’m incredibly critical of myself in photos, the first thing I said was “I wish I’d brushed my hair”……….now looking at this image I can see that this is me-in my space, blissfully uncaring of how my hair looks.

Anyway I had planned to just mention when and where my next Fair is but went off on a tangent.
